Krakeb
A phone beat maker for Moroccan rhythms. Tap Generate and it composes a groove in a style like Gnawa, Chaabi or Ahwach, plays it, and lets you edit it, lock what you like and share a link or a short audio clip.

- Oct 5, 2026On a phone (390px) the floating Play bar covers the tempo controls (Slower, the BPM field, Faster) and the bottom of the grid. Give the bottom bar reserved space so nothing is ever underneath it, and polish the phone layout so the whole beat maker fits and feels great one-handed.

- Oct 4, 2026Make it joyful from the first second. Add a one-tap Generate (and a Surprise me) that composes a genuinely good groove with real rhythmic rules, not random dots: choose a style (Gnawa 12/8 by default, plus Chaabi, Ahwach, Afro-house and Lo-fi), build it from style-true patterns per instrument (krakeb on the pulse with accents and the tak-a-tak feel, guembri ostinato on a pentatonic scale, darbuka doum/tek patterns, claps on the backbeat), add tasteful variations and a fill every 4 bars, pick a fitting tempo and swing, and keep it editable. Opening the app should already play a great groove. Let people regenerate just one instrument, lock the ones they like, and share the groove as a link that reopens exactly it (and export a short audio clip if feasible). Keep the phone layout perfect.
